One of our subsidiaries (AB Mauri) was one of the earliest Western companies to invest in China when it invested in yeast production in 1985.
China has subsequently become a key growth area for many of ABF's operations. ABF has established more than 30 legal entities in China with a total investment over 5 billion RMB and annual sales in China reaching 4 billion RMB. As China has joined the WTO and opens to the world further, ABF is actively looking for new opportunities here.
The China head office of ABF was established in Shanghai in 2003, which signaled a new era for ABF's development in China.
In the past over 20 years, we have founded around 30 plants in China, and the total employee number has risen to more than 10,000.
ABF plants can now be found in different cities all over China, from south to north, from east to west.
